FirstCutAI App Privacy Policy
This policy describes how FirstCutAI Furniture ("the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.
1. Information We Collect
Photos. Photos you select from your library or capture with your camera are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Photos are transmitted securely and are not stored by us after the analysis is complete. Anthropic's data practices are governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Location. If you grant location permission, your approximate city and state are included in the analysis prompt to provide regionally relevant results (e.g. local lumber pricing). Location data is not stored or shared beyond the API request.
Apple ID. Sign in with Apple is used for authentication. We receive only the anonymized user identifier Apple provides — we do not receive your name or email address unless you choose to share them.
Email address. Optionally entered in Settings for emailing PDF reports. Stored only on your device and used solely to pre-fill the mail composer. We do not store your email on our servers.
Token balance and usage. Your token balance and usage history are stored on our secure server to power the in-app token system. This data is associated with your anonymous Apple ID and is not linked to your name or personal email.
Purchase history. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive a cryptographic transaction receipt from Apple to credit tokens to your account. We do not have access to your payment information.
2. How We Use Information
To analyze furniture photos and generate cut lists, valuations, and reports
To maintain your token balance and process purchases
To send PDF reports to the email address you provide (if any)
To improve app reliability and diagnose errors
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Anthropic Claude API — processes photos and generates analysis results. Anthropic Privacy Policy
Cloudflare Workers — hosts our API server and token management system. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles all payment processing. Apple Privacy Policy
4. Data Retention
Token balance and usage data are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us. Photos are not retained after analysis.
5. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Because authentication uses Apple's anonymous identifier, please include the email address associated with your Apple ID so we can locate your account.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
